## What OCR & Document Intelligence Does

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) converts printed or handwritten text in images and PDFs into structured, machine-readable data. Combined with AI-based document intelligence, it can:

- Classify documents by type without manual sorting
- Extract specific fields (invoice number, date, total, supplier name, PO reference)
- Validate extracted data against known formats or external databases
- Flag anomalies or missing fields for human review
